Anyone know the quickest way of getting from Stansted to Ashburton Grove this Saturday given that the Stansted Express isn't running due to engineering works? There's a bus replacement but I'm damned if I'm paying the Stansted Express shower the same money for something that's going to take an hour instead of 30 mins.

In case it helps anyone else, best options seem to be either:
- National Express coach to Stratford (45-60 mins), then overground Stratford - Islington (15 mins); or
- Terravision coach to Liverpool St (55 mins), then Tube to King's Cross (8 mins), change and tube to Islington (3 mins)
If those times are right and connections work out, shouldn't be that much worse than the usual Stansted Express to Tottenham Hale (30 mins) and Tube to Islington (10 mins). Just means time for one pint less. :(

No idea, sorry. Don't think so, although I presume if it's busy it's pre-booked people first.
Think I'll go for the Terravision option, the Stansted-Highbury trains are only every 15 minutes, tube from Liverpool St is every 2 or 3 minutes.

Think I'll try that next time, thanks.
For anyone faced with a similar problem (and as far as I know the Stansted express is off for all weekends in January) *don't* get the Terravision bus.
Flight was an hour late, as were all London flights, due to heavy fog that morning. Got to the Terravision bus stop just after 13.20.
"Grand", I thought, "I'll get the 13.30, be in Liverpool St by 14.30 and should just make kick-off."
The Liverpool St bus arrived about 13.40, then sat there for nearly 20 minutes, and didn't arrive into Liverpool St until just after 15.00. Ended up missing the first half hour of the match (not that I missed much, as even the stewards told me when I got there).
Met people on the plane before and after the match who had taken the replacement Stansted Express bus, which did leave at 13.30, and they got to the ground just after 15.00. It might be 10 quid dearer, but at least it runs when it's supposed to.
There was a departures board showing that the National Express coaches were running on time too, so doesn't look like it was any traffic issues affecting Terravision.
Also, Ryanair were merrily selling Stansted Express tickets without any mention that the train was cancelled!
