Where do you think Forest will finish next season?

We showed enough towards the end of the season that we're good enough for a top six finish at least. And although previous good 'end of season finishes' have proved false dawns, something tells me that the players will be properly focused this time round. With a season's experience already in the bag, they know exactly what to expect. We only need a couple of signings to make us good enough for an automatic finish.

I've got for us to go up as Champions because quite simply, anything less than second will be a total failure. It still pains me to think we couldn't compete with the likes of Southend and Colchester last season! And to think one of our main rivals this season will be the 'mighty' Crewe Alexander!!

I can see us going up in second place or maybe even as champions. I'm encouraged by what I've seen of the coverage of the training camp in Italy and it also seems that the players have warmed to Calderwood, Kerslake and Watson (Pedersen looked happy anyway!)
It's good that Dobie might also get a chance to be involved, though not so sure about Johno; it's time for him to move on I reckon. We've got better and younger strikers than him now.

Anything less than top 2 would be a joke, stand up and be counted or else **** off.

I think it all depends on whether our players take to Calderwood or not. If they suddenly decide they don't like the manager I can see us struggling again. It looks like Calderwood so far, is trying to do everything with the players that Megson didn't, so fingers crossed he gets them onside. We can win league 1 if he does.

Wish I was as confident as you lads.
I see the same enthusiasm on the forums each year, all citing a great squad etc.
Unfortunately, I dont think some of our squad are good enough at all. As an addition, I think its poor judgement that Calderwood isnt prepared to enter the transfer market at this stage when potentially we could miss out on that spark/ inspirational player who could generate the creativeness in the side.
Hoepfully CC will prove me massively wrong, but I do fear we'll end up messing in the transfer market for scraps later in the year and panic buying.
Still looking forward to the season though.

I agree with a lot of that, very hard to feel confident going into a season after all the times we've been let down. I was looking at the fixture list last night, some tough games starting off too, Blackpool away who will be out to get us, Northampton to put one over Calderwood, Huddersfield away. We all know how important the start is. I have to admit I also find it strange that Calderwood hasn't looked at the transfer market at all yet, all the noises suggest all we will get is a new keeper. Maybe Sammy Clingan might come into his own this season in the middle of the park though. As long as hes not played out wide, like the two lads played him at times last season.

I see Calderwood has signed Paul Smith on a 3 year contract; have to say, this signing has filled me with confidence. He pulled a few blinders when he covered for Niemi at Saints a few seasons ago. If we get Whittingham as well I'll be delighted!

Its a BIG season for NFFC,and i somehow feel we will struggle once again to make any impact.http://209.85.12.227/525/186/emo/mecry.gif
I predicted we would finish 10th last season and this time see us stuttering into the play-offs and 6th spot....but that will be it.
Whilst i hope Calderwood does well for us,he has a lot of pressure on him to succeed and with the club in constant turmoil, both on and off the pitch,it may well be too much for him.
Hope im wrong and we walk away with the title but theres probably more chance of Chelski being relegated from the Prem than Forest winning the 3rd Division title.http://209.85.12.227/525/186/emo/run.gif

We've had our clear-out season and hopefully we will not be using the "every game is like a cup final for the opposition" excuse again. No more excuses and Champions by Easter !

I reckon 6th place would be good at this stage! Bristol now have a game in hand on us and should the win this we will sleep to 5th!
