More chance of George Best scoring for us on saturday than a 20 year old Coventry striker. I say this with 3 and a half hours to go to midnight on deadline day, I hope I'm wrong!

I think everyone's patience is now wearing thin....
I know Doughty and Arthur aren't high on everyone's Christmas card list (eh Neil?!!) but surely Calderwood is to blame for most of this. He's not fluent with his team, his tactics or formations and this reflects on the players performances and certainly shows away from home. It's like he has no confidence in them, and even when we are at home we often start with a negative line-up. This is now his team with the majority of Megson's signings gone, even though Tyson and Holt are still there. To be fair he has also been given money to spend from day one. Some of his signings have been quite good, but it's his continuing tinkering with the team that is so frustrating.
Today he started with his teachers pet again ie Perch. This despite Thornhill apparently playing quite well on Tuesday versus Swansea, why on earth does he keep changing the team (barring injuries) for every game? It's obvious he doesn't even know what his best team is. He said after today's match we were inexperienced out there, yet wasn't it he who told Neil Lennon that he could move to Wycombe.
Indeed, I think the whole Neil Lennon fiasco perfectly sums up our club at the moment.
If Calderwood hadn't identified more than one striker as a target in January ie Best in the knowledge he could and did get rejected in three approaches - well he and his coaching/scouting staff are completely out of touch with the game. This then gets my mind wandering to David Pleat...aarrggh it's enough to drive you insane :(

Good post Dom!

David Pleat:What the hell does he actually do at NFFC?

Colin Calderwood:Has completely lost the plot and im waiting for him to name Paul Smith as a striker!!!
I do believe that as per the past few managers he did have his hands tied in the transfer dealings which probably is one of the main reasons that we didn't sign anyone.

Mark Arthur:Couldn't organise a pi$$ up in a brewery.Tore Notts Co Cricket Club apart and had them on their knees.(something similiar has happended to the football club the other side of Radcliffe Road).

Nigel Doughty:Has to be a Direby fan in disguise. As soon as his Forest Village plan fell apart he has shown nowt for NFFC.

The main two culprits in the downward fall of our once proud club are that latter two. Sell up and get someone in with a football brain to run the club.
Calderwood i must admit i thought he would have produced the goods for us but his team selections wouldn't be made by a 3 year old....clueless.

GET RID AND START AGAIN SO THAT NEXT SEASON WE CAN GET OUT OF THIS POXY LEAGUE.
