Forest were outstanding on saturday. Plenty of the Irish branch there to see it too and I'm sure they'll agree with me. It was the best game I've seen from them in a long time. People say Crewe were rubbish, but I don't agree, they tried to play football and I've seen plenty of worse sides against us. I think Cloughie would have been happy with the passing game we played all through!

Sammy Clingan was excellent, I was saying I hope we can hold on to him in this form. He was very good in the N.Ireland game v Denmark, so League 1 should be no problem. It was great to see our team pass it all of the time. They would even pass it back if there was no available ball forward. There was very little long ball. We played in the old Forest way. Other players who were outstanding were Cohen, Wilson and Bennett! Yes Bennett, I think this guy has really improved, he kept bombing forward down the left and his passing is much better. In the last game I went to at Luton, he was our best player on a bad day. Davies on the right is starting to get fit and has plenty of tricks. The good thing was that even though Commons was poor on saturday, there were plenty of others to compensate for him.

At one stage in the 2nd half Crewe could not get out of their half for about 5/10 mins non stop. We hit the bar and post 5 times...It could easily have been 6 or 7 on another day.

Will we go up? We're better than last season, but I'm cautious to say that promotion will happen, as I was sure this time last year. Even though we were top at the same time last season, there seems to be a lot more positivity now with the fans. Forest fans know the kind of football they want to see, and they're getting it at the moment.

Cue a 1-0 shock defeat tomorrow night....!!!!

Completely agree with what Kevin says. Their goalie also made 2 stunning saves in the 2nd half. I'm trying to think the last time we played such 'total' football. The last time I felt so good about a performance was when we beat West Brom 2-0 at the Hawthorns on the last day of the season in 03/04 season.
Now whatever happened to Joe Kinnear....?

I would agree with what the Lads have said. This is the best I have seen Forest playing for many years.Their fitness level was great. The fowards were tackleing back when the lost the Ball. The passing was superb.
