On the 14th June 2008 the Athlone supporters club will be holding a 6 aside football tournament.
We hope to enter a team

The Club will pay the entry fee and if we have enough cash, travel and hotel as well.

Hello,
The Athlone Arsenal supporters club had a meeting on Thursday 25th October. At the meeting the organisation of the supporters football club tournament was discussed. As a result of that meeting I can now provide further details about the tournament:
1. The tournament is scheduled to take place in Athlone on Saturday 14th June, 2008.
2. The tournament will be held over 1 day, Saturday 14thth June.
3. The maximum amount of teams allowed in the tournament is 40. There will be 8 groups of 5 teams. The top 2 from each group will advance to the knockout stages. Each team is guaranteed 4 games.
4. The tournament will be 6 aside. Each squad will be composed of 8 players, 6 players + 2 subs.
5. All players must be members of your supporters club.
6. Each game will last for 15 minutes, 7.5 minutes a half.
7. The entry fee is 10 Euros per head, that is 80 Euros per team.
8. All entry fees must be in by the 1st April. No refunds.
9. Games will be played on both Astroturf and real grass. We have access to at least 2 pitches, maybe a third.
10. The entry fee can be paid by cheque, bank draft or whatever. Cheques can be made out to “Peter O’Driscoll, Carrowphadeen, Lecarrow, County Roscommon, Ireland.
11. We will have bibs but if you have your own club jerseys or bibs then bring them along as well.
12. There will be trophies for the winners. There will also be a number of other competition categories where prizes will also be given for.
That’s it. If you have any questions feel free to ask. I will help you in any way I can. We will be having another meeting at the end of next month to discuss feedback. I will send you on any information that comes from that meeting.
