Football violence just does not happen at The City Ground anymore.

I can safely say in all my years going to matches at the City Ground, that I've never seen any trouble in the ground. Only thing I saw around the ground was 3 years back when Bristol City played us, their fans smashed up that pub Amici across from the Cricket Ground on Radcliffe Road. Even then I only saw the aftermath of it.
The Leicester game is going to be another cracker, theres nothing like the atmosphere at a packed City Ground for a local derby. I'm sure it'll try to rival the Sheep game for noise.

Agreed Kevin, its 20 years since my first game at the City Ground and I've been lucky enough to get regularly since I joined those mad overnight jaunts with Neil in 1993 and have never seen any trouble whatsoever, home or away. Always a first time I suppose, though hopefully not, taking Julie to this one.
Do you reckon we'll have to order tickets for this one Kevin or will there be some available online?

I reckon there'll be plenty available online Colm, if you want to have them before travelling. No problem if you want me to order for you to pick up and pay on day though. Just confirm by text or phone call 3-4 weeks before game.

Lads I know this is just speculation but with the English Defence League marching in Nottingham that day this is going to give the police a huge headache.
I would not be surprised if the game is moved to the Sunday.

Reckon we'll know soon enough if they're going to change it. Yeah, 2 events like these on the same day would be the nightmare from hell for the cops. If they are both on the same day, there'll be more needle in the atmosphere in town than at the City Ground!

Everton's game with Stoke was moved because of it earlier in the season!!

As was Luton's recently and that's only non-league. I remember when we played Leicester in Oct 2002 that there was a lot of racist chanting going on. Be amazed if the police allow this game to go ahead on the Saturday.

Thinking again though our game is already moved to an early kick off, so let the racists march in the afternoon......Cops can then all work on the same day and everyones happy!
After all these EDL guys are probably 'genuine' football fans and will hate to miss the Forest game.....

Maybe safer for people to stay away from city centre as much as possible though.I was in Birmingham in Aug when a edl/casulas march was planned, and even though it was early morning, the mood around town wasnt right, with a lot of young asian lads looking hell bent on agro.....
