View Full Version : Fixture List and Day Trips

Fixtures for season 2009/10 are due out on Wednesday morning.

However doing the day trip for matches next season will be very difficult with Ruinair severely limiting flights.

As well as that you're going to find fares have gotten steep as a result of the all the additional "charges"

Justin, I had a quick look at this. I don't really see any difference from last season with regards flight times. The Dublin 8am flight coming back at 7.30pm is still available. The first saturday it can be done according to the Ryanair site is Sat 31st October. I think it was the same last season also, the winter timetable was always the one where you could do the daytrips. Early season games seemed to always require a night over.

Lets hope they don't make any more changes, losing the daytrip flights altogether would be a killer. The fares have definetely got more expensive though.

Ooops you could be right.

Kev, I checked dates in August and September and they only have two flights which are back to back on the Saturdays.

Yeah only flight to East Mid is 3.30pm on a saturday. Oh well, just have to spend a night over there for an early season game.

It will be good come November though, if its the same as last season those daytrip flights last right up till March time. I guess many will do their majority of games then.

As for fixtures, yeah, next Wed 17th at 10am.

Not much once Ryanair pulls the plug on most routes after the summer! You'll be getting the Satnav out looking for Dublin airport....

Both routes are gone. Nearest from cork is Birmingham or indeed Stanstead. If a few are traveling together, hire a car is the cheapest option. i have done this many times over the last few years from Cork or Shannon.

Most of my day trips now are done from Dublin though, 2 birds one stone so to speek, visit the outlaws and NFFC in a weekend :3D Smiles (1):

The Leicester home game in December will be another good one..must look into booking that one soon too...

Does anyone remember the home game with them around 7 years ago, drew 2-2, a great game of football...we equalised after about 5 mins of injury time......A-block were showering Alan Rogers with boost bars!!

I remember that game Kev, they were 2-0 up for a long time then as you say we equalised way into injury time Jack Lester if I remember rightly. Followed by a packed city ground singing "theres only 1 decent Lester"

I aint sure what games I can get to this season yet, I had decided to take a weeks holiday at the end of August rather than 2 weeks so I could go to the Derby game. I have family coming over for the bank holiday, I knew this well in advance and didnt question it untill I got a text with the dates. Englands bank holiday weekend is the last week of August and ours is the 1st :icon_censored:. Seems I just wasent meant to go.
