Do you mean Lee Hughes....

Can't stick the guy, every time I see him do his stupid goal celebration, I wonder what the family of that guy he killed in the hit and run feel. You'd think he'd want to keep a low profile for a long time after what he did, but no, he chooses to act the clown and draws more attention to himself. The worst example of a pro footballer, don't you agree.

Couldn't agree more. He even ran away from the scene of the incident, and was arrested at a later date.

I know he's bound to score against us and go off on that pathetic celebration and no doubt ram taunts down our throats, but perhaps he wouldn't get the taunts if he acted with a bit of dignity.

I know Lee hughes family. They used to live on the same estate as me when i was growing up in England. Hughes himself is a decent enough bloke, he was working as a brickkie before he signed for west brom.

No one can ever condone what he did that night.

To say that he is the worst example of a pro player is a bit harsh, what he did that night was wrong, but whenever he plays, he plays with passion and pride, which is in sharp contrast to some of the spineless bottlers that we have at the CG... Pity we havnt got a few like him at forest....

A decent enough bloke!?

I don't care if he was sweeping the streets before he became a pro footballer. Speed Merchant hit and run drivers are scum, end of story....
When I say hes the worst example of a pro footballer, I mean his stupid antics after he scores......it makes him look like a fool with no remorse. In other words the worst example of a pro footballer, a braindead clown who doesn't think about how he should carry himself in public after what he did. It probably nearly blew the poor lad's head up, with all the brainpower it took to come up with his celebration. As I said, I wonder what the family of the guy who he killed, feels every time they see that stupid dance.

As for Forest, Chris Cohen would lose and find him for passion and pride...

Kev,

I stand by my comment that he is a decent lad.

I also agree with you what he did was wrong, and no doubt he regrets what he did, and that yes he was an total idiot to run off...But there is always a chance that every time any of us drive we could be in a accident....

I believe his goal dance comes from the Brummie Road at WBA going Boing boing boing baggies when they score..

The simple fact of it is that Hughes is a working class lad, from what some would call a disadvantaged area, who might not be the sharpest tool in the box, but who is lucky enough to do a job that all of would love to do.

On your final point, I agree that Cohen always trys his complete best for us, and that he is a 100% player, but only a few weeks ago our own manager, said what i said in a round about way, that we are soft and lack bottle.

I also think that that our last few joint posts have been the best on the website for a long time......Fair play!

The first 3 paragraphs of this makes shocking reading. Fair enough, if you still think hes a decent lad.

As you say, any of us could be in an accident, but would most of us speed crazily through a built up area allegedly drugged up, on the wrong side of the road, then hit somebody (leaving them for dead) and run off?.....This boils down to somebody who isn't just plain thick. The class thing, is also a non issue.

Remorse and humility are things not shown by this guy. As I keep saying, his goal dance demonstrates this.
